Martin Brookman Hut
The Club Hut, known as the "Martin Brookman" hut is located near the village of Braithwaite two miles west of Keswick. The hut is named after our previous landlord and the club is grateful for the support of the Brookman family during the rebuilding after the loss of the previous "David Imrie" hut.
Accommodation
The hut has a maximum overnight occupancy of 10 people, with a few additional outdoor camping/van spaces allowed up to a maximum occupancy of 16.
Accommodation at hut consists of the following: -
a) Main hut, 2 bunkrooms, 4 beds each, 8 in total.
b) Annex 2 beds, toilet, shower, wash basins.
c) Lounge/kitchen area with wood burning stove, with seating and tables for communal meals. Kitchen with freestanding gas cooker, fridges, ample pots & pans, crockery, cutlery etc.
d) Parking for cars and overnight accommodation in vans permitted.
e) Camping for approx. two small tents
Booking
Generally, Members do not need to book a place at the hut however if you want to guarantee a space you can do this by reserving a place with the hut booking secretary: st.helensmchutbookings@gmail.com
Members cannot use the hut when there is a meet at the hut or the hut bookings list is showing the hut has an exclusive booking, please check before just turning up!
The meets list will be emailed out on a regular basis by the club secretary.
Members may only attend official hut meets by making a reservation for themselves and any guests by the Tuesday immediately prior to the meet.
Members are permitted to take one guest at a time or more by arrangement with the Hut Booking Secretary or meet leader.
Both hut fees and catering charges must be paid for in respect of all reservations whether taken up or not.

Located Close to Braithwaite Village 2miles West of Keswick. Take the Newlands Valley Road for approx 500 metres at the Y Junction Turn Right and the Gate is immediately opposite on the right hand side.
